Holiday guests have been enjoying the beach fishing with some good size catches of Jew fish and bream. The conditions have been perfect with the tides and moon aligning for a fisherman's dream.

As this facility is used on such a regular basis we thought it time to upgrade and spend some money. Work will commence on the 21st November,2011 and should be completed within a week,with the addition of new equipment and better ventilation within the building. Vegemite SurfGroms is exclusively available through Solitary Islands Surf School to anyone aged between 5 and 12 years old, regardless of experience or ability. Delivered by local and former World Longboarding Champion Harley Ingleby, Vegemite SurfGroms develops skills in surfing that kids can enjoy and embrace for a lifetime, and offers them an opportunity to have fun at the beach whilst developing strong ocean awareness and beach safety skills at a very influential period in their lives in a safe and supervised environment.
